Emerald Downs' Ultimate Qualifying Tournament

On Sunday, August 1, Emerald Downs will host the seventh annual Ultimate Qualifying Tournament for the DRF/NTRA National Handicapping Championship. The contest has become the premier qualifier in the country for the Championship, to be held this winter in Las Vegas. Emerald Downs will again offer NINE BIG SPOTS in the NHC. Players will also be competing for $40,000 in prize money, including $20,000 to the winner.

Sixth Place $1,250
Seventh Place $1,000

The Ultimate Qualifying Tournament is also part of the NHC Tour, which provides additional prize money, including $100,000 for the Tour Champion and a $2 Million bonus if the Tour Champ wins the National Handicapping Championship. The top 30 finishers at the Ultimate Qualifying Tournament earn points on the NHC Tour.
